At Spire, our goal is to incorporate the arts so that students may explore or further refine areas of potential strength, above and beyond their core academics. Spire’s art program serves to encourage students to communicate feelings through self-expression and to develop their creativity. Our students meet with specialized art instructors who teach technical skill development in visual and performing arts and have extensive experience working with students with emotional issues. From basic art instruction to advanced portfolio development, it is our hope that Spire students will find the arts as a useful and fun tool to express their individuality, gain personal insight, cope with stress, and work through emotional difficulties.

We offer classes in:

Music & Art Therapy

Spire’s life coaches meet with students individually or in small groups to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs within the creative context of music and art. Using a strengths-based approach, personal goals are determined by therapeutic assessment tools. Together, the student and life coach identify ways in which these goals can be addressed through these expressive therapies.
